Things You'll Need:
- 16-24 inches ribbon
- 4 inches 1/4 inch elastic
- anti-fray solution
- thread
- needle
- measuring tape
- scissors

Step 1
Tape MeasureMeasure around your head, using the tape measure, where you will wear the ribbon head band.

Cut the ribbonCut a piece of ribbon just two inches shorter than your head measurement.

Step 3
Coat the ends of the ribbon with anti-fray solution to keep the ribbon from fraying.

Step 4
Needle and threadAttach the elastic to one end of the ribbon, overlapping about 1/2 inch. Use the needle and thread to sew the elastic to the ribbon. Tie strong knots to ensure it doesn't come lose.

Step 5
Test the fit on your head. Make sure it will be snug but not to tight. Adjust the overlapping of the other side accordingly.

Step 6
Sew the other end of the elastic to the free end of the ribbon.

Step 7
Try on your new ribbon hair band ~ Voila! Now you can show your friends how to make ribbon hairbands of their own.
