How to Make Ribbon Headbands

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 16-24 inches ribbon
• 4 inches 1/4 inch elastic
• anti-fray solution
• thread
• needle
• measuring tape
• scissors

1. 
   Tape Measure

   Measure around your head, using the tape measure, where you will wear the ribbon head band.

2. 
   Cut the ribbon

   Cut a piece of ribbon just two inches shorter than your head measurement.

3. Coat the ends of the ribbon with anti-fray solution to keep the ribbon from fraying.

4. 
   Needle and thread

   Attach the elastic to one end of the ribbon, overlapping about 1/2 inch. Use the needle and thread to sew the elastic to the ribbon. Tie strong knots to ensure it doesn't come lose.

5. Test the fit on your head. Make sure it will be snug but not to tight. Adjust the overlapping of the other side accordingly.

6. Sew the other end of the elastic to the free end of the ribbon.

7. 

   Try on your new ribbon hair band ~ Voila! Now you can show your friends how to make ribbon hairbands of their own.
