Though it is not an Olympic Event, a fun thing to do with your friends is engage in a Laughing Contest. There can be many variations on the rules and what you can do, but basic thing is to not laugh. Comedy Central actually had a show based on this premise. It's fun to try it out yourself. Read on to learn more.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold Your Breath: Hoping the contest does not run any longer than a minute, try holding your breath and concentrating on that so you do not feel compelled to laugh. As soon as you know you are not allowed to laugh, you will feel compelled to do so; distract yourself by holding your breath.

  2. Step 2

Make Them Laugh: Instead of just relying on your own will, try to get on the offensive and make them laugh. Cross your eyes, say something if it’s allowed or make other funny faces. Do whatever you can to make them laugh; but try not to make it so bad that you end up laughing before the other person does.

  3. Step 3

Distraction: Ignoring them can be hard, but there is one trick that will help you get by every time. Simply say the Alphabet in your head over and over again. Starting A through Z, or even try it backwards for more concentration. This will keep your mind on which letter comes next and not give you the urge to burst out laughing.

  4. Step 4

Bite Your Lip: If alls else fails, try biting your lip or the inside of cheek for a little pain. This way, your body will be reacting more to the pain then to the urge to laugh and you should be able to get by. Just make sure that you do not start biting yourself to point of bleeding or true pain. Just a little nibbling will do.
