Step1
The best way is to focus on one muscle group at a time for 5 consecutive days Monday work on Chest, Tuesday Back, Wednesday Triceps and Biceps, Thursday Shoulders, Friday Abdominals, and use Saturday as a day of Cardiovascular workouts to burn off excess fat hiding the muscles. Each of these days do four different workouts for that area with 3 sets of between 20-30 reps each and you will gain muscle in all categories.
Step2
If your over weight you should try to burn more calories then what you are putting in to your body in order for you to loose the weight in order for your muscles to show.
Step3
You must have a great diet plan in order for all your hard work to show. You mave have nice looking muscles but are hidden under layers of fat cells that could hide the real you. Try to eat foods that are high in protein and lower in fat like lean chicken, turkey, and some fish
