Road paint literally jumps up and sticks to the bottom sides of your car's paint. Removing this paint can be a daunting task.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hot Water
  • Old Rags
  • Plastic Razor Blades
  1. Step 1

Heat the road paint. Road paint is usually a latex paint that does not adhere well to the enamel finish on your car. Using an old rage, bathe the road paint spot in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Scrape away the paint. The safest way to remove the road paint is with a plastic razor blade. Gently try to lift the edge of the latex road paint with the razor and peel away from the car. This step is time consuming.

  3. Step 3

More hot water. You will need to heat the road paint over and over again to keep it easy to work with.

Tips & Warnings
  • After you have removed the paint, make sure to wash and wax your car.
  • Never use a real razor blade to scrape away paint.
