After the going through 9 months with a wonderful creation inside you, it turns into breast feeding, diapers, late nights and bottles. Finding time to just be you again with your significant other can seem impossible at times. Here are some tips on how to get back into being sexual with your partner.

At some point after the baby you might realize that your body is not how it once was. At times, you may even feel a little nervous about how your body appears to your mate. Do they see you the same as before, and what to do about the feelings and emotions you experience?

Consult with your doctor and get the 6-week checkup out of the way. If you're not ready to have anymore children right away, think about a birth control method that is tailored for you. Make sure that whatever method you choose it is working before you take the next step. If you have had a traumatic birth, such as a c-section or stitches, you may be a little scared to be intimate. This is normal.

  3. Step 3

Do yourself a favor: Get in front of the mirror, look at yourself naked and take pride in whatever you see. Giving birth to a baby is a lot of work on your body. But what you have will work just as good in the bedroom if you believe it. Confidence is key in being intimate with your mate. Be confident that it will all work the same way it did before, maybe even better.

  4. Step 4

Relax. Set the mood for yourself. What is it that you would like to happen on that magical night? Go shopping for something new. You want to feel beautiful or sexy, so buy something that makes you feel that way. Make sure your mate knows that tonight is the night.

Tips & Warnings
  • Plan ahead for baby, even give him a night out with the grandparents.
  • If for some reason you just do not feel like yourself, see a doctor.
  • Do not let the extra pounds you may still carry stop you from feeling sexy.
