Mors is a unique Russian berry drink, often hard to locate outside of Russia. Like a berry compote, but without the chunks, its unique flavor has garnered many fans the world over. It is, however, easily made.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup of cranberries
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1/4 cup of honey

Step1
Wash the berries, which ideally would have picked while ripe.
Step2
Crush the berries in an enamel or glass container.
Step3
Squeeze the juice through a gauze, and cool it.
Step4
Place what remains in hot water, and boil for 5-10 minutes. Strain.
Step5
Mix both the juice and the boiled water, and mix in honey. Cool the whole beverage.
