Waste not, want not. Here is a quick and effortless method of relieving an avocado of its skin, and still getting every juicy bit of the green gold inside.
Select your avocado. Remove stem stub from the top of the fruit.
Step2
Firmly grasp knife, and cut lengthwise around the avocado to separate it into two equal halves.
Step3
Remove avocado seed from the center. Discard seed unless your into gardening.
Step4
Take the spoon, and begin to ease the skin off from around the edges using the spoon to coax it away. Gently run the spoon deeper as the skin releases, and use the curve of the spoon to your advantage by getting underneath the pulp after separating the skin.
Step5
Use the spoon to then support the peeled fruit. Enjoy as you see fit!
Tips & Warnings
Actual spoons used for table service are the table spoons that are being referred to.
Over-ripe and under-ripe avocados pose a special challenge to the technique. Try to choose carefully so that the quality of the fruit is not affected
