Who Competes in your Field?

Step1
The first step is recognizing that what you do not know is arguably more than what you do know, a great place to be in some ways?! The idea that you can saturate or that you could saturate your job leads is fruitless, because you may think there is or you are at wit's if not a dead end, altogether in which case choose another field, right? Wrong, if you have majored in something at school there was someone who saw dozens of jobs in the field if not thousands-
Step2
If a liberal arts graduate thinks he can figure out what the limits of his degree are he probably has not considered the relative value of what a b.a. or b.s. degree are; arguably, what distinguishes an english major froma an economics major may be less than what one expects but certainly more than what distinguishes a b.s. from a b.a. degree; the relative similarity of these degrees while mind boggling is borne out through what the word on the street is, that I do nothing related to my major in college- what I learned as a lit major is not so much how to identify a bull market from a bear market, but that I can figure it out- therefore, as a lit major I may very well be a really good financial analyst at the end of the day or a short while after college-
Step3
Well, that I have determined a bachelor's degree is a broad nomenclature and that a bachelor's degree from a liberal arts college further emphasizes our ability to recognize we are costed out of bachelor's degree requirement, meaning the company doesn't really care what degree you have you have really narrowed down your options vis-a-vis target jobs if effectively you don't care where you work- i.e., a bachelor's degree in anything will mean you will work as a generalist somewhere and perhaps develop a new interest or become a specialist for a company because the firm has a specific need that an engineer, nurse or lawyer just wouldn't want!
Step4
Understanding that a college degree in anything can get you jobs anywhere leads to the next step of understanding where to get job leads for persons with no particular field in mind but want arguably to demonstrate competencies that only a college degree musters; anywhere someone is hiring someone else is generally a place where one can find a hiring agent- a small company requires contacts within a managerial role or executive role, preferably, because they make the decisions
Step5
When you have determined you want to narrow your scope you can say well I know I want to work for a specific type of company, because I think I have some other skills in addition to my degree that are profitable for someone or because I like the brand itself or the industry; eg., I drink coca cola it is part of my experience and I want to work there, my gut tells me in the figurative sense of course but because it is a really great symbol to me; I drink coca cola, wish I were six again and wish I could keep my child physique or now ramp it up to a more energy efficient one, i.e. can go to the gym and lift more weights, work a bit harder
