How to Wear a Tunic

Tunics are flattering and fashionable.

Tunics are one of the most forgiving fashion trends. They camouflage any bulge around the tummy and hips, and can be belted to show off an hourglass figure. You can dress them up for evening with a pair of high heels, or even wear one as a beach cover-up. There are many styles of tunics out there, so you should be able to find one that flatters your figure.

Instructions

1. Pick a tunic with the right waistline for you. Hide stomach bulges and boost your bust by choosing an empire-waist style. Emphasize an hourglass figure by wearing a tunic that is gathered or belted at the waist.

2. Decide how tight you'd like your tunic to be. Hug your curves in a knit tunic, or minimize wide hips in an A-line style. Choose a tunic that hits below the widest part of your thighs.

3. Wear something slim-fitting on the bottom to balance out your proportions. Slim-fit pants or skinny jeans are a great choice, as are leggings. Wear your tunic as a dress only if it's long enough to cover your rear even when you bend over.
