For many Cambridge natives, Cafe Pamplona is symbol of the "old" Harvard Square, one made up of independent shops and restaurants. This splendid coffee shop was founded in 1959 by a native of Spain, and was the first Cafe in the square. Thankfully, Au Bon Pain it is not. Pamplona is a wonderful spot to have an espresso any time you are in Cambridge.
