Step1
Step into your bedroom. How does it make you feel? Is it a place where you would enjoy spending time? Is it pleasing to the eye ? There are many things you can do to change it . First, create a budget. Figure out what you can spend just on that room, allow yourself a certain amount of money .
Step2
There are a lot of places to shop that have great quality as a well as reasonable prices. Places like Marshals, Home goods, Daffy's, flea markets also are a good idea. Shop around first before you fall in love with a bedspread for 80 bucks, you may be able to get another for 30 just as nice. Add some colorful pillows as well.
Step3
Start with your walls. You can give your room an entire new feeling just by splashing a few colors on the walls.
Purple for a calming atmosphere, yellow for energy or red for good luck. You can even make a room look bigger by painting one wall darker than the other. Little wicker baskets are also practical and cute. You can chose from any colors and set around the room. Use them for hair clips or jewelry, watches, keys, anything really.
Step4
New sheets and a new bedspread can be very uplifting. How about bright colors instead of that gray or brown one have now? Look at your windows. ARE THEY DRESSED IN SHEER FLOWING DRAPES? Or are they shades? Shades keep the dark in which can be depressing, let the light in. Get some see thru light curtains that touch the floor, that's what in and very romantic I might add.
Step5
hanging some art decor or pictures can make a huge difference. Take some postcards and frame them. What about a tapestry or sconces? How about one of these beautiful nightlight? Get one of those colored light bulbs for your lamp. There are many things you can do, but most important, have fun with it. What about mirrors? Mirrors are a great way to make a room look a lot more spacious. They come in all shapes and sizes, have fun with it.
Step6
Plants also add charm and are very good for circulating fresh air. Add some on your window sill. There's a lot to chose from and they don't have to be high maintenance. jade plants and ferns, also aloe vera plants are a nice touch. The next time you walk into your bedroom, just envision what you would like for it to look like, create your budget and get started, enjoy.
