Step1
It all starts with the budget. If you go into planning your honeymoon blindly without setting a budget you may end up spending a lot more than you wanted to or can afford.
Setting a budget will also help to narrow down the never ending list of possible choices available to you.
Step2
Think of what you want to do on your honeymoon. Do you want to sip tropical drinks all day by the pool? Or do you want to spend your day hiking through the jungles of Africa? Maybe it is a combination of both?
Come up with a mental image of how you see yourselves spending your honeymoon. This will help define what you consider to be the best honeymoon destination for both of you.
Step3
Narrow down te location. Based on the type of honeymoon you are looking for you can start to narrow down the list by geography.
For example, if sitting on a beach is a top priority then your initial list should obviously include locations with beaches.
Step4
Start the research! This step will probably take the longest for you. You will want to thouroughly research all of the options identified in the previous steps.
The good news is that there is a wealth of information available online to help you.
Keep a list that tracks the good and bad about each location, and use your research to further narrow down the choices.
Step5
The shortlist. At some point you have to get your list down to three to five choices. Again, this may be difficult to do, however it is much easier to make a choice from a list of five than it is from a list of twenty five.
If needed do further research on your shortlisted locations. At this point you can get very specific about amentities and other things that make each location unique.
Step6
Make the final decision. You have done a lot of research up until this point, and it is all going to pay off in the form of an educated decision.
It is time to select the best honeymoon destination for you. Booking online can save you money and time. Also, check individual resort websites for specials that may only be available by going directly to the resort.
