Things You'll Need:
- Blog design template
- Internet connection
-
Step 1
Choose pink for a beauty or lifestyle site geared towards women. Pink is a very feminine color that can be warm, flirty, and fun. Choose this for a beauty site, or other blog that will be attracting lots of female readers.
-
Step 2
Pick orange for a fun, humorous, and light-hearted blog. This is a playful color that evokes emotions of happiness and laughter. Avoid using this for any serious subjects or topics.
-
Step 3
Choose black for power. Black continues to be a powerful color, and is best for technology, news, or other blogs that may deliver a serious message. It can be enhanced with green, blue, or even red for even more impact.
-
Step 4
Use red for energy. A blog designed with red and white colors will invoke feelings of high energy and grab the reader's attention. Alternate red with black for an even more powerful combination.
-
Step 5
Use green for eco-friendly, trends or community news blogs. Green is a friendly, down-to-earth color that invokes feelings of harmony and peace. It's most commonly found on many eco-inspired blogs or those with a nature focus.
-
Step 6
Use blue for calm, serene, or inspirational blogs. Blue invokes feelings of peace and calm, and can be especially valuable for a blog designed for inspiration or motivation. Use darker shades for a high impact message.
-
Step 7
Choose purple for a blog designed for women. Along with pink, purple extends feminine appeal. Use purple for blogs focused on poetry, fashion, and style.
-
Step 8
Use gray and white for simplicity. If you want the focus to be on any pictures and text of your blog, choose this simple and no-nonsense color combination. Neutral shades will simply serve as a frame for your blog, and can give you more freedom to play with text colors and images as a result.

on 3/7/2008 If the blog theme you like doesn't support different color options. Or if you'd like a bit different color. You may try to use SiTCE. That is script written for Photoshop to automate hue, saturation and lightness modifications of the whole blog theme (all images and css). The SiTCE is free (GPL) and is available on http://nice-soft.blogspot.com/.
