Tiramisu' is one of the typical Italian cakes, and here is one version on how to make it.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 36 ladyfingers
  • mascarpone (450 g)
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 egg white
  • sugar (150 g)
  • 10-12 cups of black coffee
  • 1 small glass of rum
  • powdered plain cocoa
  1. Step 1

    1. Beat the yolks together in a bowl with sugar until you get a frothy mix.

  2. Step 2

    2. Add the mascarpone and mix

  3. Step 3

    3. Add the egg white

  4. Step 4

    4. Add the Rum and mix until you get a smooth cream

  5. Step 5

    5. In the meantime brew the coffee

  6. Step 6

    5. In the baking pan, spread the layer of cream

  7. Step 7

    6. Soak the lady fingers in coffee on both sides, and then line them up on top of the cream.

  8. Step 8

    7. Pour a second layer of cream on top of the ladyfingers, and arrange more ladyfingers soaked in coffee

  9. Step 9

    8. Top another layer of cream, spreading evenly with a spatula. Then sprinkle the cocoa over the top layer.

  10. Step 10

    9. Put in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tiramisu' will taste better if you prepare it a day in advance
