The French are very particular about their breakfast in the morning. If you would like to prepare the perfect French breakfast follow these steps.

Things You'll Need:

  • Croissants
  • Café au lait
  • Tartine
  1. Step 1

    Prepare some steaming hot café au lait. Although at lunchtime and after dinner the French like to drink an espresso, at breakfast they love to drink a café au lait, which is basically a coffee served in a large cup or bowl with lots of hot milk.

  2. Step 2

    Squeeze some oranges to make fresh orange juice. The French adore their coffee in the morning to be accompanied by a large glass of fresh orange juice.

  3. Step 3

    Prepare some tartines. The French love to eat a tartine in the morning and to dip it into their coffee. A tartine is basically a fresh piece of baguette with either butter or jam, or even both.

  4. Step 4

    Buy or make some croissants. A traditional fresh breakfast would not be complete without some delicious hot croissants.
