An easy and delicious way to prepare eggs. Simple enough for even the beginning cook. The recipe is for one serving of 2 eggs. Use mutiple containers for more servings rather than using a larger container.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Small shallow oven safe container such as a gratin dish or other baking dish just large enough to accommodate 2 eggs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon butter OR
  • Baking spray such as Pam
Step1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place butter in dish and heat dish in oven just long enough to melt butter. Alternately spray dish with cooking spray.
Step2
Remove dish from oven. Swirl butter in dish to coat bottom and sides of dish. Break each egg in a small bowl and then slide into heated dish. Cover dish with lid or foil. Return to oven.
Step3
Bake for 6-7 minutes or until eggs are soft set. Longer if you prefer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add fresh herbs before or after baking.
  • Add cooked bacon, ham or sausage bits if you like
  • No two ovens bake exactly the same so adjust cooking time to suit your oven and your preferences.
