How to Make an Ayurvedic Cleanser for Dry skin

Make a natural cleanser for dry skin in your home and reap the benefit of healthy glowing skin year-round!

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 tbsp coarse oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp fine-ground almond meal
  • 1/2 tsp rose petal powder
  • 1/2 tsp white sandalwood powder
  • 1 drop essential oil of lavender
  • heavy cream as wetting agent

Step1
Mix all the ingredients together to form a thick smooth paste.
Step2
Apply to skin on face and neck in circular massaging motions.
Step3
Let sit for 3-4 minutes.
Step4
Rinse off with plenty of warm water.
Step5
Gently pat skin dry and follow with a toner for dry skin.

Tips & Warnings

  • The dry mix for up to a week can be made in bulk and stored in a clean airtight container. Just add the lavender oil and the cream each time you are ready to cleanse. This cleanser not only cleanses your skin, it also nourishes, moisturizes and exfoliates. The aromatherapy is an added balancing component for space or air skin.
