Things You'll Need:
- wire wreath form
- sheet moss [live if available]
- potting soil
- black plastic bag
- floral pins
- pachysandra cuttings
- scissors
- knife
- wire
- opt. ornaments
- bow
- lipped round tray
-
Step 1
Soak moss in water.
-
Step 2
Line the wire wreath form with the wet sphagnum moss.
-
Step 3
Evenly distribute potting soil on top of moss. Make sure it is as full as possible. Mist soil with water.
-
Step 4
Cover soil with another layer of wet moss. Set aside.
-
Step 5
Cut the black plastic garbage bag into long 3 inch strips.
-
Step 6
Pick up wreath [being careful not to spill soil] and wrap the wreath as tightly as possible with the plastic bag strips overlapping as you go. Use pins to hold down ends.
-
Step 7
Using knife, [flat side down] make small slits and put one cutting through each slit. Continue over entire wreath until full.
-
Step 8
Place the wreath [flat side down]onto the tray. Add ornamentation and bow.
I added a crystal hurricane style lamp and candle to the center of the tray to make it a centerpiece but,you can also hang the wreath once the roots are established.
