If you’re patient enough to wait through the ending credits after you complete Call of Duty 4, you are rewarded with a little treat: a bonus level! You’ve got very little time to rescue a VIP in plane full of terrorists, so lock and load!

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Use the seats as cover. Somehow, all the seats in this jetliner are bulletproof. How is something of a mystery, but remember that while these ones may be used as cover, real airline seats are not bulletproof.
Step2
Move quickly. As you might have noticed, you have a very short span of time with which to complete this mission. If time runs out, you fail. Having come fresh from the last mission, you should be used to dealing with time constraints, but this one is even more pressing than before. Speed is essential.
Step3
Shoot and scoot. Let off a few rounds, advance, repeat. Try and build up a rhythm of clearing rows of bad guys, then moving on.
Step4
Use Flashbangs whenever you need to. Ideally, you’ll want to do this before you enter each new compartment. Just after you climb the stairs and clear the room immediately after, you’ll get a few more.
Step5
Reload only when you need to. While this runs contrary to all other missions, where you always want to have a weapon loaded as fully as possible, here, time is more important. Reloading takes up valuable time, so only reload when you’re empty. Remember that if you’re face to face with the enemy, use your knife; it’s faster than reloading.
Step6
Try and reach the stairs before the counter reaches one minute. If you can do that, you’ll have enough time to rescue the VIP. Any less time and you might as well restart the level; you’re probably not going to make it unless you’re playing on Easy difficulty.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you’re playing on Easy difficulty, just run straight through.
  • Grabbing a P-90 is risky. It has a huge magazine, but takes a long time to reload.
