In most states, the Attorney General is the person who gives legal advice to the state government. They act as the chief law enforcement officer and oversee public prosecutions. Here’s what to do in the event that you need to contact the Arkansas State Attorney General’s office.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

While varying from state to state, the typical responsibility of the Attorneys General’s Office include the ability to be public advocates in child enforcement, consumer protection, utility regulation and antitrust actions. The Attorney General’s Office can also represent the state and state agencies in court, oversee criminal appeals and statewide criminal prosecutions, enforce federal and state environmental laws, handle civil suits on behalf of the state and otherwise represent the state’s interests.

  2. Step 2

Visit the Arkansas Attorney General's Office at 200 Tower Bldg., 323 Center St., Little Rock, Arkansas (72201-2610).

  3. Step 3

To call the Arkansas Attorney General's Office, simply dial (501) 682 2007 or 1-800-482-8982. The directory menu will direct you to the various divisions.

  4. Step 4

Go online and send an email to the Alabama Attorney General's Office (see Resources below). The website is really informative and presents the latest legislation, consumer protection information and cases being handled.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also access the website of the National Association of Attorneys General for more information about offices in other states (see Resources below).

on 11/12/2008 11/11/2008- this issue involves the Airport commissioners of Walnut Ridge,Arkansas. We have two commissioners that have a direct conflict of interest as per both city ordinance 501 and state law ( no commissioner shall serve with operational interest in the airport). We also suspect that fraudlent traffice volumes or being reported at the airport. The commission reports 80,000 plus activities a year. This equates to over 200 per day as compared to Jonesboro with 33 per day. Jonesboro has a pop of 50,000 and walnut ridge a pop of 5,000. this is a very suspicious number. The mayor doesn't want to get involved, the state representative doesn't want to get involved (they ar married). How can we get the attorney general to look at this situation. As citizens, we feel the community is exposed to fraud and possible miss use of grant money.
