In most states, the Attorney General is the person who gives legal advice to the state government. They act as the chief law enforcement officer and oversee public prosecutions. Here’s what to do in the event that you need to contact the Arizona State Attorney General’s office.

  1. Step 1

    While varying from state to state, the typical responsibility of the Attorneys General’s Office include the ability to be public advocates in child enforcement, consumer protection, utility regulation and antitrust actions. The Attorney General’s Office can also represent the state and state agencies in court, oversee criminal appeals and statewide criminal prosecutions, enforce federal and state environmental laws, handle civil suits on behalf of the state and otherwise represent the state’s interests.

    The main office is located at 1275 W. Washington St., Phoenix, Arizona (85007). This street is home to several Arizona state government offices.

  3. Step 3

    To call the Arizona Attorney General's Office, simply dial (602) 542-4266 to reach the main switchboard. The menu will direct you to the various divisions.

  4. Step 4
