How to Make Hooters Chicken Wings

Things You'll Need

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/4 cup Louisiana hot sauce

  • 1 dash pepper

  • 1 dash garlic powder

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 10 chicken wings

  • Blue cheese salad dressing

  • Celery

  • vegetable oil, for frying

Love the taste of Hooters buffalo wings but don't have the funds or access to Hooters to eat out a lot? You can make their famous wings right in your home.

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine flour, paprika, salt and cayenne pepper.

Place the defrosted or fresh wings in the bowl and gently coat each one evenly.

Step 3

Place the bowl of wings in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 minutes to help the mixture stick to the wings during frying.

Step 4

Heat oil to 375 degrees in a deep fryer or deep pan. The oil should just cover the wings when they go in, so use at least an inch or two.

Step 5

In a small pan, mix hot sauce, butter, pepper and garlic powder. Mix over low heat until the butter is melted and the sauce is mixed well.

Step 6

Place all of the wings in the oil and fry for 10 to 15 minutes until some part of the wings turn a dark brown. Remove from heat and blot on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Step 7

In a large covered container, place the sauce and the wings. Shake to coat evenly.

Step 8

Serve with sauce on the side, blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
