Things You'll Need:
- A computer with internet access
- An ebay account
- Time
- Money
-
Step 1
First of all get an item to sell.
-
Step 2
Then take a picture of the item you are selling. This will give your item a better chance of selling. Most buyers won't even click on your listing if it doesn't have an image.
-
Step 3
Then on the top right hand corner of your ebay page, click on sell. After that describe you item in 3-5 words. For example, if it's a book, just write book.
-
Step 4
Then once you get the second page, write a descriptive title for th item you are selling. Make it something that draws attention. Don't just write book here, describe it. What kind of book is it? What's the title of the book? Edition? Condition? Write as much as you can in the characters allowed.
-
Step 5
Then select one of the prefilled categories that best describe your item. If for instance it's a book, you will have to fill in the ISBN# and then ebay will fill in the rest.
-
Step 6
Then upload the picture of your item. The first is free, but the rest cost $0.15 each. (You can use another site that allows you to upload 24 pictures into an ebay auction for free. I'll write an article about it soon. Look back later.) Don't forget to uncheck the gallery picture if you don't want it because it will cost you $0.35.
-
Step 7
Then describe your item to the best of your knowledge. Don't hide anything. Tell all. Be honest because if you're not it will cost you. You will be giving a negative feedback and you will lost customers. So describe your item to the best of your ability. If you don't know the condition of the item, say so and list it "as is."
-
Step 8
After that, set a starting price for you item. I suggest starting off as low as possible because the higher the price, the higher ebay will charge you for listing it. Then set the days you want the item to last for. I suggest 7 days because above that is going to cost extra. Then choose the shipping price and where you are willing to ship it too. Just be careful when you ship it overseas.
-
Step 9
Don't forget to note the payment type that you will accept.
After that click on save and preview. You will see the amount you have to pay to ebay for that listing and you can preview your item. If you're satisfied, click on list item, if you're not satisfied, click on edit item. Make changes, then list it.
