Step 1
Place your arms slightly away from your body. Put your arms at your sides and pitch them forward slightly or clasp your hands in front of your body and raise them about 6 inches. This will help your ribcage to expand fully so your lungs can fill to capacity. Increased air enables your voice projection more clear and strong.
-
Step 2
Stand with your feet roughly a shoulder's width apart. Bend your knees slightly and be sure to balance yourself in a solid fashion while remaining flexible. If you're sitting while you sing, then keep both feet flat on the floor and sit up straight in a relaxed manner.

Step 3
Take it easy. Tension can be detrimental to your tone. Forcing your chest out and up as you exhale will only constrict air flow. Be sure to maintain slight motion such as swaying with the rhythm so your body can remain relaxed. This also helps your tone to sound more natural.

Step 4
Push your stomach outward as you inhale. This will help you to fill your lungs more completely. Using your diaphragm, allow your stomach to slowly move inward as you exhale. This will help you yo control your notes and improve your singing voice.
