Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Turn on the television at any time of the day. If, by some miracle, a reality show isn’t currently on, odds are you’ll see a commercial for one within five minutes.
Step2
Don’t immediately flip the channel. Try to wrap your brain around exactly what it is you’re seeing. Are I Love New York’s men not the trashiest bunch of men you’ve ever seen all in one place? Can you count how many girls have implants in Bret Michael’s Rock of Love mansion? Who decided that Hulk Hogan Knows Best? And what, exactly, is Scott Baio doing on television in a parenting class?
Step3
Right before the next commercial break, they’ll show you a preview of what’s to come up in the next segment of the show. However they splice together clips and edit what actually happened, you’ll (sadly) find yourself intrigued. And, you’ll sit through the commercials to find out exactly what the big surprise is that Tailor Made has waiting for New York or which girl Bret Michaels is ready to send packing this time around.
The same goes for the previews they’ll show you for the next episode when the one you’re currently watching is over. You think the show can’t get any more ridiculous until you see the preview for the next one. And you know you’re going to tune it.
Step4
Should you be lucky enough to find yourself in the middle of a reality show marathon, you’ll be able to see all the episodes for one particular reality show in succession. You’ll still have the commercial interruption, but you don’t have to wait a whole week for the next episode.
Step5
If you can’t seem to tune in when the newest episodes of your reality show of choice are being aired, fear not. VH1 re-runs every show easily three times a day, so you’ll have plenty of time in a week’s time to catch the episode before the next one airs.
