Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Visit their website to see what ice shows are currently touring. Frequent shows such as Princess Wishes seem to pop up on the schedule year after year, while other specialty shows such as Finding Nemo and The Incredibles vary year to year.
Step2
You can search by show, zip code or country to see which shows are playing closest to you. While Disney on Ice does not make stops in all of the 50 states, or all of the countries around the world, they try to spread themselves out to make themselves fairly accessible to a multitude of areas.
Step3
Check the seating chart of your chosen arena before purchasing tickets. Majority of the ice shows are held theater-in-the-round style, making no seat a bad seat even if it is further back. When taking small children, it is often better to be sitting in an elevated section as sitting on the floor doesn’t give kids the incline to help them see a bit better. Even if someone tall is sitting in front of them, they have a better shot at seeing more of the action if they are elevated.
Step4
When at the show. Be sure to check for Disney-related photo opportunities around the arena. Photo stations are sometimes set up for kids (and kids at heart) to pose with figures of some of their favorite characters from Mickey to Buzz Lightyear. These photo stations are often near the souvenir kiosks, full of Disney on Ice merchandise from pennants to coloring books.
