Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Research your options. The current lineup of Disney shows on Broadway is as follows: The Lion King, Mary Poppins, and The Little Mermaid. Make sure to visit Broadway.com or Telecharge.com to check that all three of these are still readily available.
Step2
Due to their popularity, it can sometimes be difficult to get tickets a mere few days before the show. If you’re willing to try your luck the day of by standing on Time Square’s TKTS line, you can get tickets discounted up to 60% (as long as you’re willing to pay in cash). This always leaves the option that you won’t get tickets to anything though, should the show be sold out.
Your best option to guarantee seats is to book as far in advance as you can, either by visiting the theater, booking online at Ticketmaster.com, Telecharge.com or Broadway.com, or by calling Telecharge directly.
Step3
Pay attention to how Disney spreads their magic to the Broadway stage. Whether it’s through the impressive opening processional in The Lion King or the breathtaking Mary Poppins finale she flies right over the audience, Disney knows how to take its magic out of Disney World and bring it straight to the heart of the Manhattan’s theater district.
Step4
Take home a bit of the magic by visiting the souvenir kiosks at the shows. CDs with the music you experience during the show are always sold, with unique products such as Mary Poppins dolls catching the eyes of all children.
