How to Start a Wicca Mirror Journal
While learning any new craft it's a great idea to make note of your progress, as well as feelings and thoughts acquired throughout. Starting a mirror journal while practicing Wicca will help you as you move along your journey. It is also one of the first things recommended by practitioners.

1
Find yourself a journal. It doesn't matter what kind - a nice leather journal or spiral notebook. The instrument itself doesn't matter; what you write inside does. Use this journal only for this purpose.
-
2
Write down everything you feel, think, experience, note, learn, rituals performed, etc. Self-knowledge is an important concept in Wicca and recording everything that happens along your journey is essential to that.
-
-
3
Make note of areas of confusion or failures (if you wrote about a ritual that you performed) or anything that you need to work on.
-
4
Set a time during each day to write in your book. Find one that works for you (ie. early morning, late evening). Try and write everyday.

I had never heard the witch's journal called a "mirror journal" before! I have always called mine a book of shadows :-) Thank you for the great article! 5 *'s and a recommend!
