If you garden, chances are you have an old wheelbarrow or two lying around taking up space in your garage or yard. If you're wondering how you can use those old relics in your garden, then here's an idea!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Old wheelbarrow
  • "Instant liner" pond paint
  • Submersible pond pump
Step1
A great idea for a larger wheelbarrow is to create a mini-pond with your old barrow. Make sure you place the barrow where you want it in your yard or on your patio before you fill it with water--it's pretty hard to move afterwards.
Step2
You can purchase "instant liner" paint-on liquid at most gardening or home improvement shops that carry pond supplies. Paint the inside of the barrow with this for a watertight seal that won't rust.
Step3
Add a submersible pump/filter combination to keep the water flowing gently so it won't stagnate.
Step4
Then, add a few small water plants and any decorations that you'd like.
Step5
Presto! Instant patio or small space pond that is cute, recycled and can cost you less than $100 for materials.
