How to deal with the death of a loved one

I've had a lot of tragedies to deal with in my life. I was kidnapped as a little girl, abused as a teenager, and all kind of medical problems now as an adult. I was off on medical leave really feeling sorry for myself, in pain all swollen up waiting for my next appointment with the specialist when I received a telephone call in the early AM that my Mother had died. One year earlier, I had received a call from that same person, my beloved sister Clara, that my sister was in a car accident and was killed, leaving three children behind with out a mother. It had not been long before that I received the phone call telling me my father had passed. At that time, I had barely gotten past my oldest brothers death. Well, I thought things couldn't get any worse. I was wrong. A few days ago, I received word my mother had passed. Here is how I dealt with it and kept my sanity:

1. Thank God that they no longer have to suffer the cruelties of this world
2. Thank God for eliminating the miles between you by bringing them to rest in your heart.
3. Forgive yourself for all the things you wished you had done for them and didn't.
4. Make them proud as they look down upon the works of your hands.
5. Don't let their death be in vain. Use it as a tool to better your life.
