When buying a new baseball glove, it is absolutely necessary to break it in before use. It also happens to be incredibly easy to do.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your new baseball glove
  • Any natural oil (sports stores will have them)
  • Shoelaces
  • Newspapers
  • Baseball
  1. Step 1

Put on old clothes. The oils can stain!

  2. Step 2

Place down newspapers over the surface you are working on or just do it outside.

  3. Step 3

Open up the glove and squirt the oil in. Do it a little at a time.

  4. Step 4

In between each squirt of oil, use your muscles and rub the oil in well into the glove.

  5. Step 5

Place the ball into the pocket of the glove.

  6. Step 6

Tie the mitt closed with shoelaces (leave the ball inside). Have the mitt sit like this for a few days.

  7. Step 7

    Play ball!
