Knitting is one of the hottest crafts these days, and if you haven't shopped for knitting yarn on eBay, then you're missing some tremendous bargains!! Just about every kind of yarn imaginable is available on eBay, so get your needles ready and head on over to this online auction site for all the yarn you'll ever need!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An eBay buyer's account
  • Some time to shop
  • An idea of your knitting project and how much yarn you'll need
  1. Step 1

First, you need to decide what kind of knitting project you want to create. A fluffy scarf? Great, then look for fun furs or novelty yarns. A warm, winter throw? Then look for bulky wools or acrylics that hold their shape and are washable. A hat and mitten set? Look for warm wools that are washable.

  2. Step 2

Be sure you buy enough yarn to complete your project all at the same time. Dye lots vary, and many eBay vendors carry different yarns throughout the year, so make sure you have enough, because if you have to go back, your yarn may not be there, or the shade may be drastically different when you get it.

  3. Step 3

Watch out for negative feedback against your seller. Check their feedback ratings and make sure they have a good record of sales (at least 99 percent or better).

  4. Step 4

Watch out for high shipping prices, as well. Some sellers offer items at bargain prices, and then charge extra-high shipping amounts, so beware! If you buy multiple items, always ask your seller for an invoice with combined shipping to help save money.

  5. Step 5

Check the yarn for flaws once you receive, and contact the seller immediately if you find any problems.

  6. Step 6

Don't stop with yarn. Look for eBay sellers who sell knitting notions, such as needles, stitch holders, and such, so you can purchase everything for your project from one vendor.

  7. Step 7

Enjoy your yarn and keep on shopping for more yarn bargains!
