I've often been reminded, "It's all in how you look at things"...well, imagine a styrofoam plate as a picture frame! How clever! Another mom gave me the idea and my girls loved it. I hope yours do too.
Spread newspaper or an old plastic tablecloth over your work area. Gather all of the items needed for the project.
Step2
Begin by carefully cutting out the bottom of each of the plate's compartments (with a knife), leaving an open space, like a picture frame. This should be handled by an ADULT.
Step3
Find snapshots to fit each size of the cut out compartments.
Step4
Next, you'll paint the plates. Be creative! Allow them to dry completely.
Step5
Trim your picture frame with lace, buttons, ribbon, or any other items you like (attaching with the hot glue).
Step6
Attach your snapshots to the back of the frame so they "peek" through the front.
Step7
Attach ribbon to the top of the plate in order to hang it on the wall.
Step8
Voila, your very own, personalized and custom-made picture frame!
Tips & Warnings
These are fantastic for gifts to grandparents, parents and friends.
The hot glue gun should ONLY be handled BY AN ADULT.
The knife for cutting should ONLY be handled BY AN ADULT.
