Kid's are abusing dxm or dextromethorphan, the drug in many cough medicines at alarming rates. Here is how to protect them from this abuse.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
dxm is found in cough and cold medicines. Most kids will try to find cough medicines where dxm is the only active ingredient to get a better high. Read lables and avoid buying these medicines. dxm is more often found in liquid cough medicine.
Step2
200-400mg of dxm is required to get a good high. Beware of your child using excessive doses of cough medicine to try to get high. Many kids don't understand dosing and could potentially overdose by drinking an entire bottle.
Step3
dxm is an opiate, so those who abuse dxm will feel light headed, dizzy and "out of body". If you're child seems very disoriented, confused, dizzy, or unable to concentrate and you believe they have been abusing dxm take them to a medical professional immediately.
