Stomp pads are a highly useful snowboarding accessory. They give your back foot traction when getting off a chairlift. They can also be used to remove snow from the bottom of your boot, making it fit better in your binding. If you don't have a stomp pad already, read on about how to make this important purchase.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If you just purchased a new snowboarding set-up, check the boxes with the bindings, boots and board. Stomp pads are sometimes included for free with other purchases.

  2. Step 2

If you want or need to buy a new stomp pad, first decide what shape and size you would like. Stomps pads come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes and colors. As long as your stomp pad is big enough to support the weight of your boot and small enough to fit on the deck of your board, you can get any pad you like.

  3. Step 3

There are a huge variety of cheap stomp pads available on the Internet, and any ski or snowboard shop will have them as well. Shop around!

  4. Step 4

Once you buy your stomp pad, make sure the proper adhesive is included to get the pad onto the board. If it's not, you'll need to buy some strong clear adhesive tape at a local hardware store.

  5. Step 5

Position your stomp pad just in front of the binding for your back foot. Keep it centered or slightly to the front of center on your board. Happy riding!
