Things You'll Need:

  • Ribbon can be used to make many types of embellishments. This versatile fiber can add flair to a scrapbook creation. Ribbon can be folded to make many different types of flowers. Use various colors
  1. Step 1

Decide what type of flower you want to create to coordinate with the theme of your scrapbook layout.

  2. Step 2

For a daisy-like flower, cut small pieces of ribbon and simply fold them around a spiral clip (this serves as the middle of the flower). You can make as many petals as you want. Stick the folded ribbon together with glue dots or other scrapbook-friendly adhesive.

  3. Step 3

For flowers that look similar to roses use the ribbon in a spiral shape and make them as small or as large as you need. These flowers will be displayed in an upright position and will add dimension to your scrapbook page.

  4. Step 4

Once you have created the type of flower that best fits your needs then you can stick them on the page to highlight your photographs.

  5. Step 5

Add some finishing touches to your layouts and display your ribbon flowers in your memory albums for everyone to enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the middle of the flower to hide the ends of your ribbon. Besides spiral clips, you can use large brads or self-sticking jewels to act as the flower center for your daisy flowers.
  • When creating your roses you might want to cut leaves to go around the rose as a background piece.
  • Ribbon that is ΒΌ-inch thick works best with all types of ribbon flowers.
  • Organdy ribbon can also be used for the daisy-like flowers its texture can add an elegant touch to your flower creation.
