How to Accept An Award - Like A Highly Compensated Executive

At one time in the future you be presented with an award of some kind. Or, have you ever been presented with an award, and didn't know what to say and said it..."I don't know what to say" This simple method will have you accepting like the stars on Oscar night. So learn how to accept it, like the professionals.

Things You’ll Need:

• An Award
• An Audience
• T-CUT Method (I will show you)

1. T-CUT is an pneumonic device that is super easy to remember. So whenever you do receive your next award, THINK T-CUT.
2. Accept award... (T) is for "THANK YOU" Thank the presenter for honoring you with this particular award.
   
   Simply say: Thank you (presenter name) for honoring me with this award.
3. Honorable mention to co-workers..... (C) is for "CREDIT" You will acknowledge all who made the achievement possible, and state their names.
   
   Simply say: This achievement was made possible by my co-worker, and I give credit to (co-worker name) in (department they work in) for his/her understanding, as so on....give honorable mention to your co-workers, and point them out in the crowd.
4. You should display your award.... (U) is for how you plan to "USE" the award. Tell the audience how you plan to honor the gift (the award). In other words how will you display it.
   
   You can say: I will mount this on the company wall in the human resources department, or on your home office wall next to your favorite baseball jersey, or display it in the break room, et cetera...
5. Hold up high... (T) is for you guessed it "THANKS AGAIN" this is the final thank you and after you say it simply march down from the platform smiling.
   
   You can say: THANKS AGAIN!!
   
   Note: When you say your final thank you, be sure to hold up your award so everyone can appreciate it.
