How to Mashed Garlic Potatoes

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 8 medium good potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 6 whole cloves garlic
  • 1 cup light sour cream or milk
  • 6 tablespoons dried chives
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper
Step1
Place potatoes, garlic cloves and 2tbs chives in a large saucepan and pour over enough water to cover.
Step2
Set pan over high heat and bring to a boil. Boil until potatoes are fork-tender about 10 minutes.
Step3
Drain and return potatoes and garlic cloves to pan.
Step4
Mash in sour cream or milk and butter until desired consistency. Fold in chives. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.
