When you are looking online for the perfect location, most sites will have links for you to click for a free brochure about their wedding plans and services. This is an excellent tool to use so you can see their wedding packages written on paper. You can also put the brochures side by side to make your decision for booking a location easier.

Once you have decided on a few locations and prices, take a trip to Lake Tahoe to view the locations. Talk to the owners and ask detailed questions. When you are satisfied with the wedding location, you usually be required to make a deposit for your wedding date and time. If you want, it's also a good time to meet with shops in the area to coordinate other wedding essentials, such as the cake and flowers. Some wedding packages provide all of this and some don't. Make sure you are clear on what is included in the wedding package you've booked.

The wedding package I went with in 1998 included a wedding photographer, wedding videographer, ceremony music (guitar), bridal changing suite, seating for up to 20 guests and a cake, appetizers and champagne. I had my sister as my Matron of Honor. If your family and friends live within three hours of Lake Tahoe, then having more than one friend in your wedding party will not be a problem.
