This is an easy recipe for Pecan Brittle that uses graham crackers for a special touch!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 stick real butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • graham crackers
  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Next, mix the margarine, butter, and sugar together in a sauce pan. Boil the mixture of margarine, butter, and sugar for three minutes. Do not start timing the boil until the mixture comes to a full boil. Also, do not boil the mixture of margarine, butter, and sugar too long because it will scorch and the pecan brittle will have a burned flavor.

  2. Step 2

Spray a cookie sheet with Pam or another nonstick spray. Place one layer of graham crackers in the bottom of a cookie sheet. Pour the mixture of margarine, butter, and sugar over the graham crackers. Then, evenly sprinkle the pecans over the mixture.

  3. Step 3

Bake the mixture on the cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow the pecan brittle to cool and then break apart into pieces to serve.
