Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- weekend mornings
- access to a pc
- no more than $20
Step1
Check around you house for things you don't need. Start an "online yard sale" pile.
Step2
Get your local newspapers and check in the give-a-way section for items that people don't want anymore. Check it out and if it is in good condition and easy to ship then grab it up and put it in your "pile".
Step3
Take $10 of your $20 and go to local flea markets and yard sales. A lot of times you can find things not used or either brand name that people will buy online for more money than you could sale at a yard sale. Remember you can also haggle to get a lower price at a yard sale. Its kinda hard to do that online.
Step4
*If you sell on ebay look for clothes, jewelry, heck just about anything.
*If you sell on etsy.com (handmade items) make sure you have made it or you can sell it as destash(supplies). Supplies could be ribbon, old beads, buttons, misc old plastics ... take a look at some of the supply shops to give you an idea.
Step5
Check other places to sale. Remember to also check fees for listing and selling. Also remember to include the price it will cost to ship an item. Shipping cost should be ... price to ship plus price of shipping supplies.
Step6
Go to ebay and set up account. A lot of places uses paypal, so I would suggest having a paypal account as well. If you register for ebay, it will direct you to the paypal website.
Step7
After all is done and you have your select places to sell... then have fun and sell, sell, sell!! Don't forget to check your sales at least once every other day. You want to be able to ship as soon as you get an order and keep up good seller status.
