Step1
After you log into your account, click on the tab that reads "Write an Article" in the upper left hand corner in yellow.

First you will need to think of what the article is going to be about. [For ideas, read "How to Think of an Article Topicon eHow"]

OPTIONAL: You may want to add an image or two to make it easier to understand what you are trying to teach. You may want to show a pic for each step if the steps are complicated, or you may just use one simple picture to pull it all together. Do this my clicking "Add an Image".

OPTIONAL: To make everything seem even easier, you may want to add a video to your article. This will make everything a whole lot easier. Do this by clicking "Upload a Video".

After this, you will need to provide the difficulty level. It will give you choices, so choose wisely.

Next you will write an introduction. This is one of the most important parts. If you write an interesting intro that'll get reader wanting to read more, the more people will check out your article.

For the next step, you will provide all the materials needed to complete the task. This may be something like string, or a cup of water. Make sure you list every little thing to ensure comprehension.

OPTIONAL: You may want give a few pointers to your readers. Do this by writing as many tips as you want in the box that reads "Add Tips to Your Article". Press enter to add new tips.

OPTIONAL: Like tips, you may want to add a warning or two to ensure your readers safety or of any common errors.

By clicking, "Save and Continue", all the previous additions you have made will save and you will move on to step 2: Add Article Steps. I recommend you click "Spell Check" at the bottom left corner of the screen to make sure you didn't make any typos. To preview what you have just done, simply click "Save and Preview". To exit out of preview, click "Return to Edit" in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

You should then continue onto step 2: Add Article Steps. Simply type each step clearly and simply in each of the numbered boxes. Make sure to be detailed, but very long paragraphs get annoying to the reader.

After Spell Checking and Previewing your article, click "Save and Continue" to proceed to the next step.

In order to help people find your article, choose a category that best suits your article. When finished, check the box under where you chose your category to make sure it has saved correctly.

Next you will type 3-5 keywords or tag words into the box. Your article will appear on the page anytime someone searched for one or more of your keywords.

OPTIONAL: You can add related articles to your own article by clicking "Search for Related Articles" to browse eHow for some articles similar to yours.

OPTIONAL: If you got the idea from another website, you may want to cite the source so that others can access it. By clicking "Add Resource", you can add any website you would like. Many people put YouTube or other videos showing their objective if they do not have their own video.

Lastly, you will click "Save and Continue" after previewing your article if you'd like. You can now publish your article by clicking "Publish Article" so others can read it, rate it, and comment on it!
