Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Log on to www.jcfaith.com.
Step2
On the right side of the screen, under Members Login, click “Register Now.”
Step3
Create a username and password for each child. Click “Check Availability” to make sure the profile name is available.
Step4
Fill out the rest of the form and upload an image for a profile picture. While a picture is required, it does not have to be a photo of your child. For safety reasons, consider posting a fun piece of clip art or a photo of the family pet. If you want to monitor your child's usage, consider linking your personal email address.
Step5
Read the Terms & Conditions, and then click “Submit the Form.”
Step6
If your profile is accepted, you will be logged in to the JCFaith.com home page. If your kids are familiar with MySpace, it will not take them long to figure out how to “make friends” and navigate the site. To begin, click “My Account” to upload pictures and music, write blogs and and other activities.
Step7
Under “My Account,” look to the left of the screen and click “Account Settings” to ask for email notifications whenever your kids get messages and friend requests on their account. This screen will also allow you to manage privacy settings, limiting who can view your children’s profiles and who can send them messages.

on 7/28/2008 Actually, I believe the other sites mentioned above bombard their members with ads much like MySpace does. www.gofelloship.com has no ad banners and it is free. Is a wonderful place for young Christians to meet other believers around the world. Check it out. www.gofelloship.com

on 6/20/2008 Another great Christian Social Networking site is FaithFreaks.com. The appearance and menus are very similar to MySpace, so it's not a tough transition for kids who are already used to it (and hence, less difficult to convince their friends to switch over with them). They even let you import your MySpace profile settings (minus objectionable content).
