He prepares sermons, visits people in the hospital and is on-call whenever you need him. Now, how do you compliment your pastor? How do you tell him how much you appreciate him? Follow these simple steps to compliment your spiritual leader.

1. Decide what you are going to compliment him on. Are you going to compliment his sermons, work habits, or ideas for the church?
2. Determine what the best method would be to communicate your compliment. Do you want to send him a note, an email, a phone call or tell him in person?
3. Think of a good time to tell him. For example, telling him after a sermon would be okay, but he is usually very busy. Perhaps during the week would be a better time?
4. Tell him. Pastors are often critiqued much more than they are complimented, so it is important to let your pastor know what you appreciate about him.
