How to HOST YOUR OWN WEB SITE ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE FOR FREE

Ever wanted to have your own Web Site on the internet for your friends and family to See ? Ever wanted a web site on the Net for FREE ? Everytime you hunt for one, you'll find that someones going to charge you for domain name or server space on a monthly or yearly basis. Well those days are HISTORY. Welcome to the Nokia MOBILE WEB SERVER, where you can host your Site right on your mobile phone all for free.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

• Most recent Nokia Phones like the N Series and E Series.
• A data cable to connect your phone to the PC
• Internet Access on your mobile phone

1. First you need to register yourself a domain name and user account.
   Go to
   https://secure.mymobilesite.net/register/
   
   Fill out the simple form on the site and submit it to get your domain name.
   You will need to provide your primary email address where you will get confirmation code to activate your account.
2. Next you need the Server Application to install on your Nokia handset.
   You can download the application either on your computer or directly on your handset.
   IF on your computer go to
   http://mymobilesite.net/download/
   
   If on your phone go to
   http://download.mymobilesite.net
   (THE PHONE Method will require a internet access on your phone, and the application will install. You'll be directed through the standard Installation Wizard on your phone)
3. If you downloaded the application on your computer, you will have to make sure you have your DATA CABLE and Have the Nokia PC Suite installed on your PC.
4. Install the application on your phone.
   The Phone Installation wizard takes you through this process.
5. Start Up Open the Mobile Web Server located under the Application folder on your phone.
6. Next you will need start up the internet mobile webserver, by going to options -> Start Server.
   Choose Internet Mode of access and specify the Access point to use.
   You will be asked for your account name and password.
   Provide the user name and password you created during registration in Step 1
7. Running Web Server You will Now see a Running status on the web server application.
8. Now To Test if your Mobile server is up.
   Open your Internet Browser on your pc, and in the URL specify the URL you chose while registration in Step 1.
   eg : https://micahel.mymobilesite.net
9. My Default Page You will be asked to provide a user name and password.
   Use the user name and password you created at registration time.
   The DEFAULT WEB SITE will open up now.
   The site is very self explanatory. It can be customized to any extend.
   Site theme can be changed, The Welcome Note specified or a Welcome Image.
   You will see Blogs, SMS options, Instant Messaging options using which users on the site can contact the owner of the mobile phone, directly on his phone.
   Different Users can also be granted access rights to variuos sections of the site.
   Like certain users can have access to your phone gallery.
   Certain others can have access to your Schedule etc...
10. Custom Users Added ***Creating USERS***
    Once you have tested the basic web page with the master user name and password, you will want to create more user names.
    Do not give anyone the Main User name you created during registration.
    On your mobile web server . Go to Users Section.
    You can activate the Guest User by providing the guest user a name and password.
    You can further more add more users to the list by selecting the user name from your phones Contact book.
    To add a user click on the Options-> Add New USER under the User Section.
    Once your done adding the User, you will be prompted whether you like to send an sms to that particular user , informing him or her about your website and there user name and password to the site.
11. User Rights Assigning Now you may go back to the site with the original user name (created during registration), and enter each section and Click the "CHANGE ACCESS RIGHTS" button on the top right corner. To Add the list of users that may access that section.
