Homemade candy, like tablet or fudge, can be made well in advance of your wedding day. Wrap it in parchment paper and a ribbon, or put it in small candy boxes available at craft stores.

Make CDs for your guests. If you are hiring a special band, it might be nice to provide some of their music on a CD for your guests to take home. Burnable CDs can be purchased inexpensively in many stores. The time you’ll take to put them together will be your biggest expense.

Make CD picture albums. Instead of burning music onto a CD, consider copying photos of you and your fiancee.

Use your printer to print out a message to your guests. If you can take the time to personalize them to each guest, all the better. A printed letter telling your guests how much their presence means to you and wrapped with a ribbon can be very effective. Use nice paper like parchment to make the messages look professional.

Bring an instant camera to your reception and have your picture taken with each guest. Let them take home the photo to remind them of this special day.

Paint your names and wedding date onto the inside of a seashell. This is a great idea for beach weddings.
