Adobe Photoshop is a versatile photograph program you can use for various digital image editing needs. As you become more advanced and comfortable with the tools, palettes and workspaces, you may become more particular with how you organize your workflow. Defining your own shortcuts lets you work quickly.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Open the program and go to "Edit," and then "Keyboard Shortcuts."
Step2
You can choose a set of shortcuts to modify from the menu in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box. Photoshop Defaults is the only option available until you create your own set.
Step3
Within that dialog box there is a dropdown menu in which to choose the area of shortcuts you want to customize. Choose from among Application Menus, Palette Menus or Tools.
Step4
In the Palette Menu Command, consider the various options you can choose to customize. For example, under “Application Menus”, and under "File," you'll find the options "New," "Open," "Browse" and "Open." If you click on "File" and “New,” you can change the shortcut control to whatever you want. After you make your changes, the name in the Set menu will have modified after it.
Step5
When you have finished changing shortcuts, you can accept all changes, by clicking “OK” or click “Cancel” to exit without saving.
