A simple way to kids of all ages to make adorable, lasting Valentine's Day cards.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Red Felt
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Red, white, and/or pink yarn/ribbon
  • Craft Decorations
  • Metallic Paint Craft Pen
  • Strong Sewing Needle
  1. Step 1

Cut out two large, matching hearts from the felt.

  2. Step 2

Glue top parts of hearts together, just at the very top. Let dry.

  3. Step 3

Use yarn/ribbon and a thick needle to thread thru the heart, right below the gluing. Tie front and back ends or yarn/ribbon at top in a pretty bow. Do one thread of yarn/ribbon on each side of the heart.

  4. Step 4

Use glue, sparkling craft decorations, or whatever, to decorate the outside of the heart-shaped card. Use craft pens to write a message on the inside of the card.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a neat twist, try gluing most of the front and back heart together, then filling it with craft stuffing. Glue the heart closed and use a craft pen to write a message on the fluffy card.
  • Be careful not to let the child glue the two heart pieces completely together if their making a traditional card. Their creation won't open if they do.
