Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • replacement CD drive
  • general hand tools screwdrivers etc.

Step1
First open your computers case and locate the CD drive holder
remove all the computer housing there are screws on the other side.
Step2
Label all the plugs attached to the CD drive and remove them.
Step3
Remove the four screws on the track most of the time 2 on each side
carefully push out the CD drive.
Step4
push in the new Cd drive and connect all the cables to there correct locations see computer manual.
Step5
Fasten all the screws and make sure it is in good. put the housing back together.
Step6
Turn on your computer and you may need to use the add hardware thing in control panel test out your new CD drive

Tips & Warnings

  • Use tape to label the cables.
  • Don't use magnetic tools it could damage your computer.
