How to replace a cdrom drive

Things You’ll Need:

• Computer
• replacement CD drive
• general hand tools screwdrivers etc.

1. First open your computers case and locate the CD drive holder
   remove all the computer housing there are screws on the other side.
2. Label all the plugs attached to the CD drive and remove them.
3. Remove the four screws on the track most of the time 2 on each side
   carefully push out the CD drive.
4. push in the new Cd drive and connect all the cables to there correct locations see computer manual.
5. Fasten all the screws and make sure it is in good. put the housing back together.
6. Turn on your computer and you may need to use the add hardware thing in control panel test out your new CD drive

Tips & Warnings

• Use tape to label the cables.
• Don't use magnetic tools it could damage your computer.
