Did you tear your favorite jacket and aren't yet prepared to toss or replace it? Don't worry this can be fixed fairly easily with a few simple steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fabric glue such as Liquid Stitch
  • Piece of paper or cardboard
  • Paper towel
  1. Step 1

In order to repair your jacket, or other item of which you wish to repair without stitches showing, you will need to place a piece of paper or cardboard underneath the tear with no other layers of fabric in between.

  2. Step 2

Next you will need to line the tear up the best you can, so that there are no gaps or holes. This is very important in making the repair be as close to invisible as possible.

  3. Step 3

After you have completed these steps, you will then place a small amount of fabric glue, such as liquid stitch, along the tear. You will then need to smooth the glue over with a paper towel and wipe off any excess glue. Allow the glue to dry for as long as is directed by the manufacturer of your particular fabric glue.

Tips & Warnings
  • Liquid stitch can be found at your local fabric store, or at your local Wal-mart in the sewing section of the store.
  • Allow the glue to dry for as least as long as is advised by the manufacturer, but longer is best.
